Pathways

Welcome to Pathways! Our program is enriched by authentic learning experiences designed to develop independence and life skills.  We support transitioning students on their journey to post-school life. Our program is divided into five Pathways:

          1. Supported Employment

2. Continued Education and Training

3. Volunteering & Community Support

4. Healthy Lifestyles Recreation and Leisure

5. Personal & Community Support

Our students participate in age appropriate programs such as:

          ·   ASDAN (a life skills based program that includes functional
              academics)
          ·   Enterprise programs (Plant Program, K9 Katerers, Mitchie My Time
Café, Mitchie Splash Car Wash and the Paper Delivery program)
          ·   Certificate 1 in Active Volunteering
          ·   Certificate 1 Access to Vocational Pathways
          ·   Leisure and recreation activities (students choose from a range of
programs each term including lawn bowls, cricket, AFL, rowing,
swimming, triathlon training, bushwalking, cycling, touch football,
              music, dancing and art)
          ·   Work Experience (Red Cross, Logoline, Endeavour, Frothee Coffee
Shoppee, Kingfisher Recycling, Meals on Wheels)

Student’s long and short term transition goals are outlined in their individualised My Pathways Plan which are revised each semester.  The Pathways Disability Services & Support guide outlines a comprehensive list of services and supports as well as many providers all listed under our different Pathways.  If you would like to find out more about the Pathways programs, have a look at our Pathways Information Book where there is lots of useful information.
