Our school provides educational programs for students aged between 5-18 years with a verified intellectual disability.  A large percentage of our school population also have additional disabilities, including autism, hearing, vision and physical impairments.

As of June 2018 we have approximately:

170 students.

These students come from a large geographical area, essentially comprising inner and outer north west Brisbane.

To be enrolled in our school students must:

  1. Be verified with an intellectual disability; and
  2. Live within the school's catchment area (i.e. that Mitchelton is the closest special school to their home).

Additionally the school also has an Early Childhood Developmental Program (ECDP) on campus which provides a program for approximately 40 students from 0-5 years of age. To be enrolled in the ECDP students need a referral from a Pediatrician or other specialist depending on disability.

For more information pertaining to enrolment please email: or alternatively the Principal Education Officer (PEO) at Brisbane North District Office (Education Queensland).
